TORONTO – On September 13-15, Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij fulfilled a working visit to Ukraine, during which he raised current Ukrainian issues with the president and prime minister of Ukraine; high-ranking officials of Ukraine, other countries and international institutions; and representatives of civil society. 

While in Kyiv, the UWC leader discussed strategic issues related to combating Russian hybrid aggression, the development of the Ukrainian state, and recognition of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as a genocide of the Ukrainian people, particularly during the 15th Yalta European Strategy (YES) Annual Meeting.

TORONTO – The president of the Ukrainian World Congress, the coordinating body that represents the interests of the diaspora of over 20 million Ukrainians, continued visiting Ukrainian communities around the globe in the first months of 2018.

The overall goal of the visits by Eugene Czolij is to promote Ukrainian issues with the governing authorities of the countries where Ukrainians reside and to strengthen cooperation with Ukrainian communities.

TORONTO – Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij recently completed a working visit to Brussels, Belgium, where he participated in events of the European Parliament and met with high-ranking officials of the European Union with the goal of strengthening support for Ukraine.

On February 27, Mr. Czolij was co-chair and addressed an event titled “Human Costs of Russian aggression in Ukraine” that was organized in the European Parliament (EP) by the chair of the EP Subcommittee on Security and Defense, Anna Fotyga, with the support of the director of the UWC Mission to International Organizations in Brussels, Maryna Iaroshevych.
